        Run

A run consists of a series of bid and offer quotes for different securities or maturities. Dealers give to and ask for runs from each other.

When a large amount of bank customers try to withdrawal their bank deposits simultaneously, and the bank"s reserves are not sufficient to cover the withdrawals.

A sustained period of selling which drives down the price of a security or commodity.
